Kiwi Fruit
The Kiwi Fruit is known in many parts of the world as the chinese gooseberry and originates from Asia. The term Kiwi is attributed to it being commercialised as a crop in New Zealand through the 20th Century. Commonly the green fleshed variety is found here in the UK but other variations do exist. Notably the sweeter Golden variety which is more common in New Zealand.
