Broad beans, also known as Fava or Faba Beans. Broad beans are a great source of plant based protein and roughage.

Broad beans are one of the few widely cultivated British pulses. The UK is actually the worlds largest exporter of these with huge markets in Egypt and Japan.

Historically the Broad Bean is on of the oldest crops that is still commercially cultivated. It’s alternative names are growing in usage, most notably Fava Bean as is global interest in legumes and pulses in peoples diets.
